How old is the term "new media"? You might want to start by replacing this term as you have noted it has evolved and means something else and will continue to evolve. I can't help but think of all those people who have checked out of popular culture because it turns them off or they live lives not focused on it. Is the focus telling them they need something 'new' or to get connected?

Excellent piece.

The birthers and the impeachers and the luddites do nothing for the movement other than fuel the opposition.

I wish I could retweet this: "The drooling checkbook hordes who keep hoping for some kind of magic birth certificate fairy to show up in lieu of cultivating articulate candidates who can speak about real conservative issues are stinking up the place and they need to go."
