Every time I start thinking I might like him as a politician, I remember he's the one who put that Mexican Consulate in Little Rock, AR. Romney? Every time I see him, all I can think of is listening in disbelief as he said to a largely Native-American audience at the CLC '07 that he was proud that "America has never fought a war for land." (Huh?!) Apparently, he was oblivious to the stupidity of that comment, because he repeated it later on a televised speech. And then there's the whole I-was-for-legalized-abortion-before-I-was-against-it-because-I-wanted-the-Republican-nomination thing. I like Sarah Palin a lot. But I don't think she has any desire to be President, and we don't need another candidate with that attitude. I remember a lot of socially-progressive fiscal conservatives who either actively or passively supported Obama, thinking he would be the Carter that brings on the next Reagan. I like Huckabee as a person. I even campaigned for him for governor of Arkansas back in the day, but I don't think he's right for President. He's too sweet, french vanilla. (Just like me, I wouldn't run for Pres. either) Romney? I just don't care about him. He's a non-candidate, imho. He's tap water-unfiltered. I hope Palin turns on her FIERCE and makes me want to vote for her. I guess it could happen but I think she's too polite to be fierce. I'm thinking she is strawberry shortcake flavored.
